  • Mention of JtR in recent episode of "The Flash"

In the episode called "Therefore I Am" of the series The Flash, a mad scientist who has succeeded in upping his brain power by getting struck by a man-made lightning bolt, tells his wife to test his knowledge.

"Who was Jack the Ripper?" She asks.
The man, soon to be dubbed The Thinker, replies, "Prevailing opinion is that a man named Kosmiskini was the Ripper, and that he died in an asylum."

Well, true, as far as it goes...

Well is it true, is that the prevailing opinion.

There are two ways to be fooled, one is to believe what isn't true, the other is to refuse to believe that which is true.

Sure, I think so. After all, he was on McNaughton's short list, and several experts agree with his nomination, as well as the mock trial.

I do not, however, say that the shawl fiasco helped his case.
