  • Is the Mary Kelly image reversed?

I have been pondering over this for some time and have come across this:

    tinehttps://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Flipped_image

It says here, if I have understood it correctly, that particularly old prints can show a reversed image. If this is so, then is what is over Mary's arm intestines? Looking at the photograph in a mirror, the intestines appear to be over the right side, as Bond says.

Always had problems with distinguishing left from right, so I'm probably all at sea and it's time to send for the Alzheimers nurse!

    Best wishes

    Hi Curious4

The first line of Bond's report should answer your question.

"...but the axis of the body inclined to the left side of the bed. The head was turned on the left cheek. The left arm was close to the body with the forearm flexed at a right angle & lying across the abdomen."

    Regards, Jon S.

      Hello Wickerman

Dammit! I so wanted it to be intestines!
Please don't call the Alzheimers nurse! :-)
