It is interesting and thanks for posting the link, Phil. Anything about the physicians is enlightening.
The BMJ has some good stuff.
    Best Wishes,

British Medical Journal of Nov 88 also has a report of the inagural Divisional Surgeons meeting at which Brown, Bond and Warren atteneded amongst other Doctors concerned with the case.

This the Wednesday prior to Kellys murder.

As stated in the Ripperologist issue Rob cites in his post.

                Cheers.

I was hoping there was going to be a mug shot of him, it being a localish paper.

Hello Rob, Phil. Nice work. Thanks for sharing.

If not for Phillips, he'd be my favourite doctor.

                  Cheers.

Thanks Rob. Interesting that Dr Brown moved to Chigwell several years before he retired from his City Police job.

Yes it is. About 11 years before he retired. Chigwell is about 10 miles outside the City of London so it was a fair old trek to work.

He seems to have kept up dual phone numbers for London and Chigwell at least part of the time, so he was contactable.

                            Hi Robert

Were the same postal addresses quoted for each?

                            All the best

                              Hi Dave

It was 17 Finsbury Circus, and 'Tailours' Chigwell. He left £25 000, which was a goodly sum. The house in Chigwell sounds very handsome with 16 rooms, but the poor old boy lived with two sisters-in-law, two nieces and three female servants, so as far as he was concerned it was probably only 15 rooms, the bathroom being out of bounds.
