But, Harry! The Good Michael (the OP) didn't say anything about governments. What he said was this: "Republicans hate the word 'socialism' so much that they wish socialist nations (pretty much all the successful ones) would fail."

The nations I listed - whether they are card carrying members of the Planet Earth Socialist Governments Club or not - preside over the most socialist economies/societies in the world and have for decades, because the list is fairly unchanged from when I was in school.

In terms of socialist nations/economies/societies, these ARE some of the most successful. And that's why we Republicans hate them so much! We used to hate China but they're too capitalist now (although still authoritarian!). We used to hate Russia back when they were the USSR but now they're rigging elections for us, so they're not so bad. Besides, they're broke, and neither socialist nor successful...so....they don't get us so riled up.

Fellas! I hate to break this to you, but the Clintons, Trump, Bush, Cheney, Obama, Gore....pick one.....none of them would piss on you if you were on fire...unless they REALLY needed your vote....and then ...only maybe.

More to the point: Clinton is a dirtbag...that doesn't mean Trump isn't. Clinton was/is a sexual predator. That doesn't make Trump Mother Teresa. Who is worse? Who knows? Everyone listed above is a professional liar. They have sketchy principals, no ethics, and their ambition overpowers any empathy, compassion, or sincerity that may still exist within their hollow shells of humanity. Let's call it a tie!

Is it....you are the one who brought up age... if you were to have said an intern in the oval office fine... but YOU BROUGHT UP AGE

          well, let us start with
Ivana Trump, Jill Harth ,Temple Taggart McDowell, Karena Virginia, Mindy McGillivray, Cathy Heller, Kristin Anderson,Jessica Leeds, Ninni Laaksonen, Cassandra Searles... I could go on... if you would like... but there is no point because I'm sure you will say it's all "fake news" which I am sure some are, no doubt...as with Clinton's accusers....some I'm sure are fake, but not all....

Look..I am just pointing out facts...not taking sides... if you read what I have said before...Do I think all these claims are true... NOT A CHANCE...but if you notice I said "there have been SEVERAL charges against Trump as well"

The sad reality of the situation is that the kind of alpha male that can lead a country isn't going to be a very nice person. If he had a conscience, it would drive him either to madness or suicide. Since a kind and gentle POTUS is out of the question, I'll settle for an effective one. Trump seems to be that in spades. His allegiance seems to be to himself and the United States, rather than to a political party.

To date, this man is pretty much my dream POTUS. I devoutly hope that he continues on as he has started.

I'm not advocating any of them and for the most part I agree-except that some are obviously worse, much worse than others.

Again, the funny thing is you get all defensive about it, I have said from the get go I support our President....but you only see what you want to see.. that is the problem on both sides....nobody wants facts, just only see what they want to see.....so sorry you seemed so triggered by it

Absolutely. Republicans don't start hating until Fox News labels things.

Man, Mike! You are plugged into how Republicans think! Oooo! Oooo! Do they hate puppies? Probably do, right? All of them. Because they think, like, with one brain, don't they? One big, stupid, EVIL brain...DICK CHENEY'S BRAIN!...... But what if someone is only Republican on some things, like defense or taxes, but not all that Republican at all on, like, abortion, or immigration? Are they as awful as the full-Republican haters who take their hating orders from Fox News? I'm trying to get a handle on all this because it seems REALLY complex and, well, you seem like the guy who has it all figured out.

Most socialist? Is socialism subject to gradation?

Didn't you know....All republicans are racist hateful homophobic bible thumpers… and all democrats are “libtard” snowflakes who need a safe space from Trump…..get with the program.. this is what our “news” networks teach us….didn’t you know….but then again… being a New Yorker I don’t know, because per these outlets I am not a “real American” anyway, but then again according to the “other” network, I am the only smart one….hmmmm

Seriously... both sides are a mess now... I take it by your response you are a Republican on things like defense and taxes (if not, I apologize for assuming) where I am a Democrat on some issues but very much on the right when it comes to economics and the death penalty and many other "dividing" issues.... and the thing is, people like us ARE THE MAJORITY of AMERICANS.... just not the vocal minority of the extremes on both sides...the pendulum constantly swings and in time rationality will again take over... I hope...but hey.... how about my Yankees!!! 8 wins in a row (whooo hooo... and I know.... The NY Yankees are a hot button issue as well....love/hate no in between....but at least it's more sensible to argue baseball)

Im not on any side steadmund as ive said many times. Im not republican or democrat, I'm registered independent and My whole point is that either side is so blinded by their political party ideology that neither can see the truth on either side, so much so that even the news cant be objective any more.

I will admit though I do see the blindedness more right now on the liberal/demi side. to a point where its gotten hysterical.

and if you don't see the truth behind who is the worse when it comes to there treatment of women-Clinton or trump, than IMHO you have been blinded. Because its ridiculously obvious Clinton is much much worse, and legally so, that Bill Clinton is a hair away from being in prison due to his treatment of women.

I think you make a great point about the sort of alpha male issue.

But I'd add just to run he has to have an ego, bigger than Texas (as my American friends like to say, but Tesas is small, so not sure why).
