    Hi Stewart,

    A sad day indeed.

Don Rumbelow introduced me to RWE in 1976 when I was researching my contra-Knight material. He was absolutely charming, brimful of knowledge, enthusiasm and wisdom, and a good listener.

Today, with his passing, the world has grown a little colder.

    RIP Richard Whittington-Egan.

    Regards,

    Simon

That's sad news. Mr Whittington Egans book "The Ordeal of Philip Yale Drew", was the first true crime book I ever read, one of those couldn't put it down books.

            Stewart,

Please accept my sincerest condolences and please be so kind as to pass on said condolences to his family and nearest friends.
I have a great regard for his work as you know.
His finite descriptions in Latin defined, for me, his unique writing style.

            Rest in peace.

Didn't know him personally, but he was a damn good writer.

My sympathies to his family and all who knew him.
