Hello all,

It's been a long while since i did one of my Friday polls (i know it is Thursday today !) before the infamous system crash,so i have brought this one back to see a fresh outlook on the murders.

Basically, which of these ladies did,in your opinion,Jack the Ripper murder ?

You can choose as many or as few as you like.

Is nobody confident enough in their beliefs to leave an explanation after 45 voters ? :scratchchin:

I picked them all except Emma Smith and Liz Stride. I would also personally add a few more to the list. But thats just me! lol

Best regards

I am confident that the ones I've selected belong together. My explanation is that they were all unfortunates and died in a Ripper-like fashion and in similar circumstances. That is why I chose the ladies I did.

How's that?

I chose the C5 and Martha T (sounds like a band).

My mind is constantly changing over Tabram, so I thought I would include her.

Well, well! Right now, Liz Stride has attracted BELOW 50 per cent of the voters as a Ripper victim. Interesting! And Kelly is at 100 per cent...?!

The best, all!

I would have listed more Adam but the most you can do for a poll is 10 categories !!

I just picked the most talked about ones - interesting votes so far though, especially with Liz Stride so low .

None of the above. Jack the Ripper was an invented name.

I did C5+Martha

I'm really surprised that Martha and Stride are both at 52.63%! (10/19)

Yes I would have thought more people would have voted Stride. I didn't personally but expected others to

Tabram 54 per cent, Stride 42 - to think that I used to dislike the outcome of these polls...!

My choice is a classic C6, including Tabram and Stride. My own rate for Stride being a prudent 50.00001 percent.
Ah, Fish, had BSM been a long skinny fellow...

I went for Nichols, Chapman, Eddowes and Kelly. With Kelly being a 'hmmmm...alright then' choice.

Well, you can´t have it all, can you?

What amazes me the most is the rather firm vote for including Tabram. Not that I mind, since I am very much pro-Tabram, but I was not expecting quite so many to agree...!

The best,

I went C5 minus Stride plus Tabram. On those last two I'm really kind of 50/50, and I'll certainly concede a bit of doubt re Kelly.

It's interesting to see Martha attracting so many votes. I don't think that would have happened just a few years ago.

Thats why it was time for a new poll,to see ,after my last one of 2 years ago, what ripperologists think now..

Its looking interesting !!

Hello you all!

Me, the traditionalist; the C5.

Why not the others?! They just don't seem to quite match...

However, I am open-minded to any new evidence to change the number of victims!

All the best

I went with Martha Tabram, Mary Ann Nichols, Annie Chapman, Catherine Eddows, Mary Kelly and Alice Mackenzie... Though, I must admit I am torn regarding Liz Stride (no pun intended, I swear!)

That's it, Sam.
The truth, at last, surfaces (like oil when mixed with water).

Good evening,all.

Martha Tabram

Polly Nichols

Annie Chapman

Catherine Eddowes

Mary Kelly

I am unsure about Liz Stride. I just get the feeling that her murder was completely unrelated, more of a domestic situation or a copycat. She just happened to be murdered on the same night as CE.

I know that this is no way of selecting anyone, but i have always thought that Tabram, Nicholls and Chapman were of a type. there definately were some physical similarities.

I change my mind. After giving it a lot of thought, I'd add Kelly along with Nichols, Chapman and Eddowes.

Which is ironic considering Stride's mortuary picture reminds me of Jack the Ripper the most. :p

Martha Tabram
Mary Anne Nichols
Annie Chapmen
Catherine Eddowes
Mary Jane Kelly

I think Liz was killed as a victim of domestic and I think Martha Tabram was a trial run.

You´re ever so welcome to that wiew of yours, CLK; in fact, I had not cast my vote on the thread.
Doesn´t matter much, though - only the fewest will be surprised by my list...

The best, CLK - and keep up the good instincts!

Tabram, Nichols, Chapman, Eddowes, and possibly Kelly. Stride, I'd say he most probably didn't murder. If I remember correctly, her neck was cut the wrong way. I'm leaning more towards Kelly being a ripper victim than not, but i'm still not completely convinced on it.
